Key Resolutions from the Special General Meeting (SGM) – October 21, 2024

We would like to inform all members of the key decisions made during the Special General Meeting (SGM) held on October 21, 2024, at Elimu Evangelical Church Hall. The following resolutions were officially passed:

1. Registration of Hardware SACCO

Members unanimously approved the registration of Hardware SACCO with SASRA (Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority), marking a major step toward formalizing and expanding our financial services.

2. Cost-Sharing for ICDC T-Shirts

Members agreed to share the cost of ICDC-branded T-shirts as follows:

• 50% covered by individual members
• 50% covered by Hardware SACCO

3. Staff Education Expenses

The allocation of KES 200,000 for staff education support remains unchanged, affirming our continued commitment to staff training and development.

4. Increased Transport Allowance

To support member participation, transport allowances for SGMs and AGMs were increased from KES 1,000 to KES 1,500.

5. Umbrella Budget Removed

The proposed umbrella budget was not approved and has been excluded from the final budget.

6. Vetting Committee Elections

Congratulations to the newly elected Vetting Committee members:

• Mbata Omondi Noah
• Denis Wanjala Olwasi

7. Opening of Additional Bank Accounts

Members approved the opening of new bank accounts across different financial institutions to improve contribution collection and account management.
